About the Instructors
Acting & Motion Capture Coach
Rachel Kimsey is an actor, voice actor and coach. She has taught through the BGB Studio in Los Angeles, and privately for over 7 years.
Rachel’s unique background as a stunt performer, yoga teacher, personal trainer and athletic coach gives her insight into physical acting that sets her apart from other acting coaches. This training has also helped make her a steadily working actor in Motion Capture and Performance Capture. As a result she has worked in many different iterations of the technology as it has advanced since her first MoCap work on Spiderman 2 and can boil down the aspects that don’t change, no matter how much the technology progresses.
In the end, booking the job and doing compelling work will always come back to the acting. Rachel will empower actors to find their unique voice as a performer, the thing that is unmistakably them that no other performer can duplicate. It is this quality in an actor that not just books the job, but makes a career.
As an actor Rachel has appeared in Film, Television, Video Games, Commercials, Improv and Theatre. She is Wonder Woman in Justice League Action and was a lead actor in the first Call of Duty to feature a playable female character- Black Ops 4. She has performed Motion and Performance Capture for Sony Pictures, Sony Interactive, Activision, Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Ubisoft, Guerrilla Games, Bend Studio and more. Rachel is a representative of the Motion Capture community for SAG-AFTRA.
